Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe

Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust (or homemade if preferred)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spread the pecan halves evenly in the bottom of the pie crust.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and fully combined.
Pour the sugar mixture over the pecans in the pie crust, making sure they are well coated.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Heat in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
Drizzle the melted chocolate mixture over the pecan mixture, swirling it in gently with a spoon or knife for a marbled effect.
Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The top should be golden and slightly puffed.
Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
