
Ingredients:
For the steak:
- 300g beef sirloin or flank steak (halal)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the shrimp:
- 300g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For assembly:
- 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Lime wedges for garnish
Directions:
- Marinate the steak: Rub the steak with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cook the steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
- Season the shrimp: Toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the shrimp: In the same skillet, cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
- Warm the tortillas: Heat the tortillas in a dry skillet or over an open flame until warm and slightly charred.
- Assemble the tacos: Fill each tortilla with steak slices, shrimp, diced onions, and shredded cheese. Sprinkle with cilantro and drizzle with lime juice.
