Strawberry Vanilla Ice Cream ufff



Ingredients:
– 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1 vanilla bean seeds, scraped
– 2 cups heavy cream
– 1 cup whole milk
– 6 large egg yolks
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, and vanilla bean seeds. Cook over medium heat until strawberries are soft and sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
2. In a separate saucepan, heat heavy cream and milk until simmering. Remove from heat.
3. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks. Slowly pour hot cream mixture into yolks, whisking constantly.
4. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
5. Place the custard in a bowl and allow to cool. Refrigerate until chilled.
6. Churn the custard in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
7. During the last few minutes of churning, stir in the strawberry mixture.
8. Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze until firm.
