Steak with Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce

Ingredients:
– 2 tablespoons olive oil (for the steak)
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (for the shrimp)
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 4 beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon)
– 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 1/4 cup chicken or beef broth
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (for the sauce)
– Salt and black pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions:
1. Start by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Sear the steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish, or adjust cooking time according to your desired doneness. Once cooked, remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside to rest.

2. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning over the shrimp. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through. Once done, remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside as well.

3. Next, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in another teaspoon of Cajun seasoning, followed by the heavy cream, broth, and grated Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.

4. Once the sauce is ready, return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them gently to warm through, ensuring they are coated in the creamy sauce.

5. To serve, place each steak on a plate and generously spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the top. Finish with a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley for garnish. Enjoy your meal!
