Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce (Surf & Turf Delight)

Ingredients

For the Steak:

  • 4 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

For the Cajun Shrimp Sauce:

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Directions

  1. Cook the Steak:
  • Season steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Set aside and keep warm.
  1. Prepare the Shrimp:
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté shrimp with Cajun seasoning until pink and cooked through (about 2-3 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  1. Make the Sauce:
  • Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Mix in Parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, and more Cajun seasoning to taste. Let the sauce thicken for 3-4 minutes.
  1. Combine & Serve:
  • Return shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
  • Spoon the creamy shrimp sauce over the steaks. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
