Ingredients
For the Steak:
- 4 ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
For the Cajun Shrimp Sauce:
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Directions
- Cook the Steak:
- Season steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Set aside and keep warm.
- Prepare the Shrimp:
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté shrimp with Cajun seasoning until pink and cooked through (about 2-3 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce:
- Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, and more Cajun seasoning to taste. Let the sauce thicken for 3-4 minutes.
- Combine & Serve:
- Return shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
