Schweinebraten (Roast Pork with Gravy)

A delicious and tender roast pork perfect for Christmas dinners

Ingredients
• Pork shoulder: 3 lbs (1.4 kg)
• Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
• Caraway seeds: 1 tsp (5 g)
• Onion: 1 large, diced
• Beef broth: 2 cups (480 ml)
• Salt and pepper: To taste

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Rub the pork shoulder with minced garlic, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper.
3. Sear the pork in a hot pan until browned on all sides.
4. Place the pork in a roasting pan with diced onions and beef broth.
5. Cover with foil and roast for 2 hours, basting occasionally.
6. Remove foil, roast for 30 more minutes until golden and tender.
7. Strain the pan juices and simmer to create a rich gravy.
