Perfectly Pan-Fried Fish

Ingredients:
– 2 fish fillets (tilapia, cod, or haddock)
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
– 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
– Juice of 1 lemon
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:
1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish fillets and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Stir in the garlic, chili flakes (if using), and thyme, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add the lemon juice and mix well to create a buttery sauce.
5. Return the fish to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the fillets to coat them.
6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with rice, potatoes, or steamed vegetables.
