Maple Bacon Glazed Chicken Bites

sweet & savory perfection in every bite!
Ingredients:
1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
½ cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon soy sauce
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Cooking spray or oil (for greasing)
Directions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Start by seasoning the bite-sized pieces of chicken with salt and black pepper. Set aside.
Cook the Bacon:
Cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Once done, crumble the bacon into small pieces and set aside.
Make the Maple Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
Cook the Chicken:
Spray a large skillet with cooking spray or lightly coat with oil. Heat over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown on all sides.
Add the Glaze:
Once the chicken is fully cooked, reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the maple glaze over the chicken. Toss to coat the chicken evenly in the glaze. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Add the Bacon:
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the glazed chicken and stir to combine.
Serve:
Serve your Maple Bacon Glazed Chicken Bites hot, and enjoy the delightful blend of sweet maple syrup and savory bacon!
