This juicy, flavorful prime rib will be the star of your table!
Ingredients:
1 (5-6 lb) bone-in prime rib roast
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp kosher salt
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tsp smoked paprika
Directions:
1. Remove the roast from the fridge 1 hour before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
2. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
3. Rub the roast with olive oil, then season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, thyme, and paprika.
4. Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan, fat side up.
5. Roast for 20 minutes at 450°F, then reduce heat to 325°F (165°C) and cook for 1.5-2 hours (or until the internal temperature reaches 125°F for medium-rare).
6. Remove from oven, tent with foil, and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
7. Slice, serve, and enjoy with your loved ones!
