Ingredients
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Dip each shrimp into buttermilk, then coat them in the flour mixture.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp in batches, cooking them for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove the shrimp and drain on paper towels.
In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, honey, sriracha sauce, and lemon juice together to create the sauce.
Toss the cooked shrimp in the honey-sriracha sauce until fully coated.
Serve the shrimp on a platter and garnish with chopped green onions for extra flavor and color.
Pro Tips
For extra crispiness, double dip the shrimp in the buttermilk and flour mixture.
Adjust the amount of sriracha based on how spicy you like your shrimp.
If you don’t have buttermilk, regular milk can work too, but buttermilk gives a richer taste and texture.
Serve with steamed rice or a salad for a complete meal.
