Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger

Rollups are a fun and indulgent take on the classic cheeseburger! These rollups feature a savory filling of seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, and melty cheese, all wrapped up in a soft dough and brushed with rich garlic butter for extra flavor. Perfect for a party appetizer, game day, or a unique dinner option!

Ingredients:
For the Rollups:
1 lb ground beef
6 slices of bacon (cooked and crumbled)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheese of your choice)
1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough (if using pizza dough, roll it out flat)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking the beef)
1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
For the Garlic Butter:
4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Ground Beef:
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
Once the beef is cooked through, add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine, then remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
2. Prepare the Dough:
Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the crescent roll or pizza dough package (usually 375°F or 190°C).
If using crescent roll dough, unroll the dough and press the seams together to form a solid sheet. If using pizza dough, roll it out into a rectangle (about 12 x 8 inches).
3. Assemble the Rollups:
Spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough up into a tight log or cylinder.
Slice the roll into 1-2 inch thick pieces (depending on your desired size). Place the rollups on a greased or lined baking sheet.
4. Optional: Egg Wash (for a golden finish):
If you’d like a golden, glossy finish, whisk the egg and brush it over the top of each rollup before baking.
5. Bake the Rollups:
Bake the rollups in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes (or according to dough package instructions) until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
6. Make the Garlic Butter:
While the rollups are baking, melt the butter in a small bowl and stir in the minced garlic. Once the rollups are out of the oven, brush the garlic butter generously over the top.
7. Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley for color and a touch of freshness.
Serve warm with a side of ketchup, mustard, or a dipping sauce of your choice.
Tips:
Customization: Feel free to add pickles, onions, or even a little mustard to the ground beef mixture for extra burger flavor.
For extra cheese: Add a bit of cheese to the top of the rollups before baking for a cheesy crust.
Make ahead: Assemble the rollups ahead of time, then cover and refrigerate until ready to bake
