Ingredients
4 lobster tails, thawed if frozen
4 tablespoons butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for a little heat)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup heavy cream
Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven and prepare lobster tails:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Using kitchen shears, carefully cut the top shell of each lobster tail down the middle, then gently pull the shell apart, exposing the meat. Use your fingers to lift the lobster meat out of the shell, leaving the end attached to the base of the tail. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Season the lobster tails:
Season the lobster meat with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Set aside.
Make the garlic butter sauce:
In a medium skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Add cream and simmer:
Reduce the heat to low, then add the heavy cream and the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir well to combine and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is slightly thickened. Add lemon juice, chopped parsley, and a little more salt and pepper to taste.
Cook the lobster tails:
Pour the garlic butter sauce over the lobster meat, making sure it’s evenly coated. Place the baking sheet with the lobster tails in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).
Serve:
Once the lobster tails are cooked, remove them from the oven and drizzle with any remaining garlic butter sauce from the pan. Garnish with fresh lemon zest and more parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Add extra flavor: For an extra boost of flavor, you can top the lobster tails with grated Parmesan cheese before baking for a cheesy, crispy crust.
Butter alternatives: Try using herb-infused butter or adding a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice directly on the lobster meat before serving for a tangy kick.
