Chicken Thighs with Onions Recipe
ingredients
-1lb chicken thighs
– 1 onion (medium size)
– Starch
– 1 tablespoon cooking wine
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1/2 tablespoon sugar
– 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
– Salt to taste
– 1/2 tablespoon sugar
– Black pepper to taste
– Appropriate amount of cooking oil
Procedure:
1. Wash the chicken thighs and cut the chicken into even-sized pieces and put them in a bowl.
2. Add 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, appropriate amount of starch, appropriate amount of black pepper and a little salt to the bowl containing the chicken, mix well and marinate for 20 minutes to allow the chicken to fully absorb the seasoning.
3. Peel the onion, cut into small slices and set aside.
4. Prepare the sauce: take a bowl, add one spoon of oyster sauce, two spoons of light soy sauce, half a spoon of sugar, a little black pepper and appropriate amount of water and mix well.
Cooking Steps
1. Heat the pan with oil. When the oil is about 60% warm (about 160℃, insert chopsticks into the oil and small bubbles will appear around it), add the marinated chicken thighs. Stir-fry over medium heat until the chicken changes color and the surface is slightly golden. Set aside.
2. Add a little cooking oil to the pan and add onions and sauté until fragrant.
3. After the aroma comes out, pour in the previously fried chicken thighs, then add the prepared sauce and stir-fry evenly.
