Cajun Ranch Shrimp and Sausage Pasta Skillet

Ingredients:
– 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 1 pound of smoked sausage, sliced
– 12 ounces of penne or rigatoni pasta
– 1 cup of Cajun sauce (you can use store-bought or homemade)
– 2 cups of chicken broth
– 1 cup of heavy cream
– 1 bell pepper, chopped
– 1 onion, chopped
– 3 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Chopped parsley, for garnish

Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add the sliced sausage and cook until it browns.
3. Stir in the chopped bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Cook until they soften, which should take about 5 minutes.
4. Add the shrimp, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, around 3-4 minutes.
5. Mix in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and uncooked pasta. Bring everything to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer until the pasta is cooked but still slightly firm to the bite, and the sauce thickens. This usually takes about 12-15 minutes.
6. Before serving, garnish with chopped parsley.
