Braised Chicken Wings with Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb chicken wings, drumettes and flats separated
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Green onions for garnish

Instructions:

1. Brown the wings:
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the wings with salt and pepper, then brown them on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.

2. Sauté aromatics:
In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant. Add the mushrooms and cook until softened.

3. Braise the wings:
Return the wings to the skillet. Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce and honey. Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the wings are tender.

4. Thicken the sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened.

5. Garnish and serve:
Garnish with green onions and serve hot with rice or noodles.
