 Black Forest Cheesecake

Ingredients:

For the Crust:
• 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
• ¼ cup sugar
• 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

For the Cheesecake:
• 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 3 large eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup heavy cream

For the Topping:
• 1 ½ cups cherry pie filling
• ¼ cup shaved chocolate

Directions:

 Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Line the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.

 Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool.

3️⃣

 In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream and powdered sugar, mixing well. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, and mix until fully incorporated.

4️⃣

 Pour cheesecake batter over the cooled crust. Bake for 55-60 minutes, until the center is set but slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly open for an hour.

5️⃣

 Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

6️⃣

 Once chilled, top the cheesecake with cherry pie filling and shaved chocolate.

7️⃣

 Serve and enjoy!

Tips:
• For extra flavor, add a bit of kirsch (cherry liqueur) to the cherry topping.
• Use a hot knife to cut the cheesecake cleanly.
