Smoked Pig Shots

Savory bites of smoked sausage wrapped in bacon and filled with a creamy, cheesy mixture for the ultimate appetizer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 lb bacon, sliced in half
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños (optional)
  • 2 tbsp barbecue rub

Directions:

  1. Wrap each sausage slice with a piece of bacon, forming a small cup. Secure with a toothpick.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and jalapeños. Spoon the mixture into the bacon cups.
  3. Sprinkle with barbecue rub and place on a smoker or grill at 250°F (120°C) for 1-1.5 hours, or until the bacon is crispy.
  4. Serve warm and enjoy the smoky, cheesy goodness.
