Thai Basil Pork Belly Recipe

Ingredients:

500g pork belly
2 cups Thai basil leaves
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
2-3 red chilies, sliced
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 fried egg (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Pork Belly:
Boil the pork belly in water with aromatics like garlic, onion, and bay leaves until tender (about 20-30 minutes).
Remove and let it cool slightly..
Fry the pork belly in hot oil until crispy and golden brown.
Slice the pork belly into thin strips.
Set aside.

Stir-Fry:
Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add minced garlic and sliced chilies, and sauté until fragrant.
Add the crispy pork belly and stir fry for a minute.
Add oyster sauce, fish sauce, light soy sauce, and sugar. Mix well to coat the pork belly.

Add basil leaves and toss until they wilt slightly.
Serve immediately over steamed rice. Top with a fried egg, if desired.
