Pecan Pie Dump Cake
Ingredients:
1. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2. 1 cup pecan halves
3. 2 cups yellow cake mix (dry, straight from the box)
4. 1 cup packed brown sugar
5. 1/2 cup water
6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
7. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
1. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish and swirl it around to coat the bottom.
Layer the Pecans:
2. Scatter the pecan halves over the butter. Make sure they’re spread out evenly so every bite has that nutty goodness.
Mix the Syrup:
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, water, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth. This will be your sweet, spiced base.
Assemble the Cake:
4. Pour the syrup mixture gently over the pecans in the dish. Then sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top. Don’t stir—just let it sit like a topping.
Bake to Golden Perfection:
5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly around the edges. The scent will be irresistible!
Let It Rest:
6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Serve warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for that extra cozy touch.
