One-Pan Creamy Zesty Honey BBQ Steak Pasta
Ingredients:
12 oz (340g) pasta (penne, rigatoni, or your choice)
1 lb (450g) steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup honey BBQ sauce
1 tbsp hot sauce (optional, for extra spice)
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup beef broth
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sear the Steak
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season steak pieces with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce
In the same pan, add the honey BBQ sauce, hot sauce (if using), and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine.
Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring well. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Combine & Melt the Cheese
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to coat.
Sprinkle in the shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted and creamy.
Finish & Serve
Return the seared steak to the pan and mix everything together.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
