One Hour Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
2 ½ teaspoons instant yeast
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
For the Filling:
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add melted butter, salt, and egg. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
Roll dough into a 12×18-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Roll tightly from the long side and cut into 12 equal rolls. Place in prepared baking dish.
Let rise for 15 minutes in a warm place, then bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
Whisk glaze ingredients together and drizzle over warm rolls. Serve fresh!
