

Chocolate Cake with Silky Mousse – The Ultimate Indulgence!


A rich, moist chocolate cake layered with a velvety smooth chocolate mousse and topped with glossy ganache—pure chocolate heaven in every bite!

Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
For the Silky Chocolate Mousse:
1 ½ cups heavy cream
8 oz dark chocolate, melted
¼ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Ganache:
½ cup heavy cream
4 oz dark chocolate, chopped

Instructions:

Prepare the Cake:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch cake pans. Whisk dry ingredients, then add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely.

Make the Mousse:
Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form. Fold in melted chocolate until smooth. Chill for 30 minutes.

Prepare the Ganache:
Heat heavy cream, pour over chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth. Let cool slightly.

Assemble the Cake:
Spread mousse over one cake layer, then top with the second cake. Pour ganache over the top, letting it drip down the sides.
