Classic Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
12 lasagna noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 jar marinara sauce
2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Noodles
Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
Make the Meat Sauce
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground beef.
Add garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg. Mix well.
Assemble the Lasagna
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer lasagna noodles, followed by the ricotta cheese mixture, meat sauce, and shredded mozzarella. Repeat the layers.
Finish with a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
Bake
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the top is bubbly and golden.
Serve
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
